Biro Creative is hiring a full-time Web/Flash developer to help meet the needs of our growing slate of progressive, values-based clients.
That’s right, picture yourself working in a character office in beautiful downtown Vancouver, BC with a fabulous team. The firm is young, small and tons of fun. The work is creative, challenging and energy-filled. Everyday you’ll be doing mission-critical work for an inspiring mix of high profile, values-based clients, such as Greenpeace, the United Nations Foundation, Rivers Without Borders and the Canadian Federation of Students.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Helping to plan and implement a variety of cutting-edge interactive Flash tools
- Helping to plan and implement small-to-medium scale CMS web projects in Wordpress and Drupal and/or Joomla
- Creating rock-solid templates for larger-scale CMS work, mainly in Drupal or Joomla
- Creating rock-solid, compliant HTML/CSS from Fireworks/Photoshop files
- Implementing 3rd party e-newsletter campaign management systems
- Supporting clients with day-to-day web maintenance and e-newsletter tech
Skills you’ll need:
- Advanced Flash Actionscript 2.0 (you are currently learning 3.0) + Flash remoting (AMFPHP), detection systems, deep linking, xml parsing
- Advanced PHP and understanding of open source CMS (Wordpress and Drupal or Joomla)
- Advanced CSS/HTML
- Working knowledge of SQL (mysql)
- Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple projects within tight timeframes
- Self-motivation to learn on the fly as new projects arise
