The Humane Society of the United States seeks an Accounts Receivable Manager to manage third party lockbox vendors, including daily contact of monitoring the process, resolutions of accounting issues regarding processing, implementation of any new processes and procedures regarding lockbox processing. Responsible for overseeing the monthly processing of recurring credit card and checking account withdrawals. Responsible for the electronic import of third party systems into the I series (GetActive and Verisign). Responsible for the oversight of the daily importation of data from the I series to the accounting software. The qualified candidate will be responsible for assigning accounting project codes to Information System source codes and maintaining the accuracy of that information. Responsible for monthly reconciliation of pertinent assets and liabilities of the HSUS and preparation of reports for the Treasurer/CFO. Responsible for audit preparation inquiries and schedules as needed. Minimum requirements are a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or an undergraduate degree in another field with a concentration of courses in accounting and four to six years experience in accounting. Non-profit experience is a plus. Supervisory experience is needed. Knowledge of the Solomon computer accounting system or IBM I Series experience a plus.
