The Humane Society of the United States is seeking an Online Producer to join our dynamic online communications team. The producer will create programs and content—including emails, advocacy alerts, websites, web stories, and special projects—to engage online advocates and donors. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, liberal arts, communications, or other relevant field; at least three years’ experience in online content production—producing and maintaining web pages and/or emails, writing/editing for an online audience, and project management—preferably for an advocacy or other nonprofit organization; top-notch writing skills; demonstrated experience in and/or knowledge of web development processes and online advocacy; and familiarity and/or interest in animal protection issues. An understanding of the legislative process and basic HTML and web design experience are helpful but not essential (note: This is not a technical or web design position). Salary is $40K plus award-winning benefits.
