Voter File, Regional Field Coordinator - Maryland Democratic Party

The Maryland Democratic Party seeks a Voter File, Early Regional Field Coordinator. This position reports to the Executive Director.

Job Description:
The Voter File - Early Regional Field Coordinator is the State Party’s liaison to central committees, campaigns and other organizations for their voter file needs. In addition, they will maintain the Party’s website under the leadership of the Communications Director. The coordinator will also work with counties: Howard, Anne Arundel, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City in the area to develop and implement a field program. This position reports to the Executive Director and the Communications Director. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Providing support and training to campaigns, staff, and local Party organizations for web-based voter file system.
• Facilitating data usage for central committees, campaigns, volunteer management and voter contact programs.
• Overseeing and evaluating the effectiveness of internal databases for volunteers and Party membership.
• Assist and implement web-based campaigns and emails, including collaboration with staff in Field department to create online activist campaigns and collaboration with staff in Finance department to create online fundraising campaigns.
• Ensure organizational priorities are represented online and in email.
• Work closely with our vendors for our data and web needs.
• Training county & other grassroots organizations.
• Implementing field organizing and voter contact efforts in a large populated target area in coordination with county parties.
• Working with central committees, local democratic clubs and local organizations as the liaison from the State Party.
• Building a strong volunteer organization.
• Coordinating regional events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work well with limited supervision and to get along well with a variety of personalities.
• Ability to plan and manage time sensitive projects with competing needs.
• Ability to develop and oversee implementation of training programs.
• Working knowledge of statistical models, precinct targeting, consumer appends, lifestyle cluster data, census data, etc. a plus.
• At least 1 year experience working on a voter file and a web campaign for a party, organization or campaign.
• Willingness to travel throughout the state on a regular basis.
• Dedication to the ideals of the Democratic Party and to electing Democratic candidates.
