The North Carolina Democratic Party is seeking a Director of Constituent Services to lead its outreach efforts to key constituency groups, including, but not limited to, African Americans, Hispanics, young voters, senior citizens, women, and voters of faith.
Specific responsibilities include:
Coordinating State Party activities with the officially-recognized Democratic auxiliary organizations (Young Democrats, College Democrats, Teen Democrats, Democratic Women, Senior Democrats, Hispanic Democrats, and the African American Caucus). These activities include consulting, fundraising, training, event planning, and campaign work.
Managing the Party’s strategic partnerships with key organizations that serve our constituent communities.
Working with the Regional Political Directors to coordinate State-wide voter registration efforts and local outreach projects.
Responding to constituent concerns sent to the Party via phone and email.
Coordinating the Party’s internship program for college students.
Working with the Communications Director to craft a targeted, effective message for key constituent groups and to make sure that message reaches key constituency leaders and individuals.
Serving as Senior Advisor to the Chair and Executive Director on issues of political and campaign interest to key constituency groups.
Application Requirements:
Strong verbal, organizational, written and interpersonal communication skills required
Computer skills, specifically with all Microsoft Office programs, required
Travel across the state and access to reliable transportation is required
Previous campaign and/or Democratic Party experience desirable
