Policy Associate - National Black Caucus of State Legislators
The National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL), a bipartisan nonprofit focused on educating, empowering, and unifying African-American state legislators nationally, is looking for a Policy Associate with the ability to summarize / describe an issue and analyze / explain legislative and administrative facets of a topic. This position requires considerable independence, good writing skills, and the ability to plan symposia and meetings for legislators. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree. The ideal candidate has prior policy experience, is well-organized, able to multi task, and dedicated. A background in Business, Finance, and Insurance; Gaming, Sports, and Entertainment; and Labor, Military, and Veterans Affairs is a plus. Salary $30,000 – $35,000 (with benefits) depending on experience. Candidate needs knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
