Senior Democratic member of the Energy and Commerce Committee seeks an energetic, hard working Legislative Assistant to handle health issues. Applicants should have expertise in current health issues, including, but not limited to: SCHIP, Medicare, Medicaid, mental health/substance abuse, food/drug/device safety, biomedical research, as well as health related appropriations. At least two years of Hill experience is required. Candidates with relevant academic experience and/or New Jersey ties are preferred. Qualified candidates will have strong analytic, writing and organizational skills; the ability to work well under pressure while multi-tasking; and a good sense of humor.
