Senior Conservative Democrat from Texas seeks organized, energetic, creative, workhorse writer to: write press releases, opinion pieces and speeches; develop and maintain relationships with local, national and international reporters; organize media events; pitch stories; respond to reporters’ inquires; oversee website content; produce newsletters and e-newsletters, and think outside the box. This is a fast-paced office. Excellent research and writing skills are essential. Current relationships with media much preferred. Candidates should have: sense of humor, minimum one year experience as reporter, or with press job on Capitol Hill. Texas ties and Spanish speakers are preferred, but not required.
