Active House Committee press office seeks talented team player to assist with communications strategy and media operations. Job duties include building and maintaining relationships with national and regional reporters and news outlets, assisting in the development and execution of communications initiatives, drafting op-eds and talking points, and working closely with press and legislative staff to organize hearings. Hill or campaign press experience is REQUIRED.
Candidate must also:
* Have 3+ year prior media experience;
* Be extremely comfortable fielding and responding to press calls;
* Possess advanced writing skills; and
* Have a thorough understanding of the legislative process and be able to handle multiple tasks effectively while meeting tight deadlines.
