Senior Moderate Democratic House Member (and subcommittee chair) seeks a Press Secretary responsible for implementing a comprehensive communications strategy at the local and national levels. This includes, but is not limited to, writing press releases, opinion columns, and newsletters; maintaining relations with local and national press, including nontraditional media outlets; and managing the Member’s official website. The ideal candidate is articulate, politically savvy, and able to translate complex issues into understandable language. Working press experience and/or campaign experience highly valued. The ability to keep a cool head and a sense of humor during periods of stress even more highly valued.
Salary commensurate with experience.
