Representative Artur Davis (D-AL), member of the House Ways and Means Committee, seeks Senior Legislative Assistant to manage Member’s tax and trade legislative portfolio before the Committee. In addition, individual will handle financial services and defense issues. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of Hill or related professional experience. Duties include, but are not limited to, attending hearings, preparing briefing memoranda, and crafting amendments and stand alone legislation. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. In addition, candidate must be able to exercise independent judgment and work well under pressure in a busy team oriented environment. Salary is commensurate with experience.
