Midwest Democrat is seeking an experienced Legislative Assistant. The Legislative Assistant will staff the Member on the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. The Legislative Assistant will also manage a diverse array of additional issues as part of the portfolio, including agriculture. Applicants should have excellent writing, research and communications skills. They should also exercise a strong work ethic and be able to enthusiastically perform outreach with constituency groups and individuals. The successful candidate will have the ability to think critically and work well with others. Two years of Hill experience preferred. Missouri ties a definite plus.
