U.S. Rep. Tim Walz seeks Deputy District Director to administer district casework operation and to foster workplace culture of excellence, accountability and teamwork in Rochester, Minnesota district office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assigning casework, assessing and redistributing workload of casework staff, reviewing all outgoing mail related to casework, as well as performing some administrative tasks consistent with office management. In addition to management duties, Deputy District Director will also handle all cases related to veterans and active duty military members. The ideal candidate possesses Minnesota ties, a bachelors degree or higher, management experience, background in social work or related field, understanding of VA and military systems, and familiarity with constituent advocacy. This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, strong detail orientation, and the ability to be available evenings and weekends as necessary.
