I am an avid Obama supporter, but I am disappointed with the scheduling and press releases regarding the Senator's scheduled Indiana visits. Each day, the Indy Star had a long list of events for Clinton and, if lucky, maybe one or two scheduled events for Obama. The same was true on the local TV stations. As you know, the Clintons made many more campaign stops or so it seemed.

I know of so many people who would have participated in rallies and were upset that they had no opportunity to do so. Perhaps the notification was the responsibility of local county and township field staff; if so, they failed miserably.

I also feel it was a mistake to require tickets (available only at an Indianapolis location) to the early events. This, too, excluded many supporters.

While it's too late to correct this for Indiana, maybe these comments can be of help in the remaining states.

My support for Senator Obama is strong and I will campaign actively for him for the general election.

US gov to call for bids on the purchase of

one million green cars for government use
By Steve Roday

The US Gov and the fifty separate state govs. are the owners of the largest fleet of combustion engine vehicles in the world.

Gas Burning vehicles cause incalculable damage to life on the planet.

The US government shall announce a call for bids on the purchase of one million green cars for government use in the years 2011, 2012, 2013 at a price of $35,000 per vehicle

The winning corporation or consortium must manufacture these vehicles in the United states.

An agency such as Fannie Mae shall be established to lend support to contestants designing or proto-typing the vehicle.

When the government makes its initial purchase, vehicles will also be made available to the general public with at least one model to be offered for $35,000

Ordinary citizens will be able to purchase these vehicles;

These benefits will be available as inducements and sound practice;

1) Tax Relief for the purchase

2) Purchase loan from the Fannie Mae type agency will be available

3) Any combustion driven vehicle that has been under continuous operation and ownership for the previous 3 years may be traded in against the purchase price for a $10,000 rebate in the purchase price regardless of age, make or condition of the vehicle--so long it has passes inspection at state run stations.

The vehicles, both the government vehicles that the new green cars will replace, and the similar old cars that citizens will rebate will be driven to military bases throughout the 50 states where they will be scrapped. The scrap vehicles will be transported on the Amtrack system and the scrap will be sold to smelters in the United States. No scrap from any vehicle in this program may be exported and if will be a felony to do so.

I do hope this reaches someone who will get this message to Obama. Justin Bunce of Arlington,Va. is a 24 year old military man that served in Iraq and retuned home for injuries he received in Iraq. His father Ret.Col Peter Bunce has had to spend over 50,000.00 for medical treatment that should have been offered by our VA.Hospitals. They released him to early from the VA.Hospital and he and his family have suffered terrible. This problem must be addressed. We must take care of our war heros. Justins life will never be normal again. I would like it if Obama would contact this young man and his father to hear the hardship of this young soilder and the reason we need to leave Iraq and that we should provide our military men with the best care after all they risked their lives for us.Peter
Bunce has been trying to take this issue to congress.

I know the Obama campaign needs some new talking points. Please listen to this.
- Talk about the economy
- talk about a new economic approach that doesn't just let free market philosophy compromise our country's basic economic condition.
- Make the case for a more mindful economic policy which favors free trade but protects people from free market disasters like the mortgage and S+L crisis food,product and drug safety.
- Tie this to basic campaign theme of bringing disparate groups together to get it done.
- emphasize that blind adherence to ideolgical position (free market)has put us in the position we're in.
- explain to people (fireside chat) where we need to depart from free market policies. People know something is wrong but don't understand the complexities. make it detailed enough to qualify as policy but simple enough to be digested.
See Robt. Reich's latest book.

I hope this message gets to the obama campaign. I would suggest to Barack that whenever referring to the (troops or soldiers or men and women etc..) it would be much more effective and accurate, to refer to them as our "kid", "children", "boys and girls" which they are! I think this use of the language will drive home the point about who is really fighting and dying in Iraq. They are all of our :CHILDREN!" Barry

I wish that Senator Obama would stop referring to Senator McCain's 100 years in Iraq remark.I am a solid supporter of Senator Obama and I am proud to support him. I will not waiver my support for him based on my opinion of his embellishment of Senator McCain's remark. Because it is an embellishment,I believe it provides the GOP ammunition to discredit all his remarks. There is enough factual information to quash the GOP presidential hopeful without using the same mindless and dirty tactics that the GOP uses. We democrats have plenty of ammunition to wage a landslide victory in November. Let's use the facts. They are plentiful and abundant. I would point out that it took 6 years of poor military management and low public opinion of the conservative led congress before the conservative leadership in Washington took a chance on listening to the military commanders. Aside from the troop surge there was also a cooperative diplomatic effort to get Islamic cleric Maqtada Al Sader to agree to a truce with his militia. This militia alone was responsible for 60% of the attacks on the American troops. Did we all forget about that? Remind McCain about that.

I just watched a repeat of Michelle Obama's interview with Larry King. Although she's a charming woman, intelligent and sincere, she MUST STOP saying "You know" at the beginning of every sentence. It's distracting and irritating, especially if one knows that Michelle went to two of the best schools in America, Princeton and Harvard Law.
Barack gave up cigarettes; she has to give up her "you knows." Yes, she can!
I'm just a grumpy old 73-year-old granny, who wants to see a change in our country and supports Obama's candidacy.
Thank you.
