Congressmen Berman I am asking for an update of the progress of the bill H.R. 726: Windfall Elimination Provision Relief Act of 2007. I come a long line of public servants 3 generations of professors in Los Angeles California. The possibility of a bill like this that will create some equity in the application of public service is a long time coming.
If there is any thing I can do in your efforts to get this bill passed I can make myself available. Both my father and my self left the Aerospace industry to bring to life the technologies in the classroom.
Between myself and my father we have been at East Los Angeles College teaching electronics and computer technology for 45 years. The greatest opportunity to change the world is with its youth and we need the best and brightest minds working not only in the development on the science but passing the excitement and understanding of the prospects of discovery on to the future.
The rewards are great, the compensation is reasonable, but to lose the majority of our SSI because we chose to give back is totally unfair. The lack of respect and concern for those who have committed to give there lives to our future generations should not be punished but rewarded.

Thank You
Professor David A. Reitg MIS
