Operations Director - Washington State Senate Democratic Campaign Committee
Who we are:
The SDCC is a Seattle-based campaign committee which provides
professional campaign support and guidance to Democratic Party
candidates for the Washington State Senate.
Job Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a full-time operations director. We are
looking for a candidate that is organized, self motivated, and
progressive. Specifically, the operations director will:
Organize fundraising events
Preview meetings with the majority leader with talking points and donor
research
Work closely with the executive director to execute fundraising plan
Schedule the majority leader’s political calendar
Track budget goals and keep SDCC members apprised of those goals
Follow-up on pledges and timely thank-you notes
Help members reach their fundraising goals by writing scripts and
fundraising letters and scheduling call time
Expand the major donor program
Support the executive director with tasks not detailed in this job
description
Qualifications:
Successful applicants must be very organized, confident, high-energy,
possess an active sense of humor, work hard and turn around
assignments quickly. Candidates are required to be trustworthy,
dependable, detail-oriented, learn quickly, as well as have good
customer service skills. Experience in Washington DC, a state
legislature, on a campaign, or other Democratic Party organization is
a plus. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with little
supervision is also a plus. Applicants must have a car or regular
access to FlexCar as candidate needs frequently take us out of the
office. Specific issue-knowledge is not necessary, although
demonstrated interest in Democratic politics and social change is
strongly preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary commensurate with experience, 100% dental and medical coverage,
cell phone stipend, travel reimbursement, and paid vacation.
