Special Projects Associate, Office of Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, New Hampshire District Office. Principal duties include working on a range of projects with businesses, municipalities, and non-profit organizations. The individual will work collaboratively with the legislative staff in Washington to solve problems for New Hampshire constituents.
A successful applicant will have experience working for an institution as a principal liaison to other organizations. He or she must have the maturity and judgment required to interact with community leaders and to serve as a representative of the Congressional office. The individual must have great attention to detail, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to follow multiple projects through to conclusion. Experience with grants or with federal agencies is helpful. Previous experience in New Hampshire is preferred.
This is not an entry-level position. Starting salary will depend on the experience and skills of the applicant. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
