PolFeeds

I almost never post items that aren’t jobs, but I’ve just started a new website that I think you might be interested in. The address is www.polfeeds.com. It provides news from all of the Presidential campaigns and the White House, as well as many Members of Congress. If you’re interested in a particular politician, you can just go to “name.polfeeds.com”, for example, barackobama.polfeeds.com. You can also limit your view to particular types of items. If you want to see only blog posts by House members, you can go to polfeeds.com/house/blog.

For those of you familiar with RSS feeds, the site works by syndicating all of the RSS feeds from these politicians. So, obviously, the site only has news from those Members of Congress who have RSS feeds (all of the Presidential candidates and the White House have feeds).

PolFeeds also allows you to subscribe to these RSS feeds. You can either pick individual RSS feeds to subscribe to or subscribe to an entire group of feeds. Just put “/rss” at the end of any address to subscribe to that group. So, if you wanted all of Speaker Pelosi’s feeds, you can just subscribe to nancypelosi.polfeeds.com/rss. That way, you don’t have to track down every RSS feed she has.

One of the benefits of this site is that many of the RSS feeds provided by Members of Congress are almost impossible to find on their sites. It took hours of searching to find them. Since I’ve already searched for them, you don’t have to.

I hope you enjoy the site. If you try it out and have any problems, suggestions, or if you just like it, let me know in the comments on this post.
